Nano magnetite has been reported to enhance the syntrophic metabolism of anaerobic digestion by serving as an electron bridge between microorganisms. However, underlying mechanism is not fully understood. We hypothesized that nano might regulate intracellular bifurcation drive reduction ferredoxin (E = −500 mV) via a thermodynamically favorable reaction store energy makes systems more effective. Results this study show addition digester improved methane production under high influent COD concentration. Metagenomic analysis revealed abundance subunits enzymes MvhADG-HdrABC and HdrA2B2C2 was higher than without magnetite. Metaproteomic tests showed contents HS–CoM HS–CoB associated with during methanogenesis increased 30.2% 156.5% As result, ATP indirectly driven increase 41.2%, total hydrogenotrophic methanogens containing aceticlastic also increased. These findings suggest improve respond load shock storing energy.
