Preparation of CYCU‐3/MCM‐41 Composites and Adsorption Properties for n‐Hexane DOI

Abstract Adsorption method is one of the effective technologies for treating VOCs. Compared with activated carbon, silicon‐based materials have well‐ordered pore structure, good thermal stability and non‐flammability. In this paper, CYCU‐3/MCM‐41 composites were prepared by hydrothermal through mixing MCM‐41 powder in situ. The nitrogen adsorption isotherms, saturation cyclic adsorption/desorption curves n‐hexane on experimentally measured. results displayed that (3) exhibited largest BET specific surface area (1631 m 2 /g). And its capacity was 776 mg/g, which 19.4 % higher than MCM‐41, 1.42 times 2.64 molecular sieve. kinetic fitting showed pseudo‐first order model can more precisely embody process composites, W‐M intraparticle diffusion confirmed not only control step rate composites. addition, regenerative over 98.9 after ten desorption cycles n‐hexane, showing performance excellent structural stability, proving broad application prospect field VOCs treatment.
