Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a group of man-made chemicals that widely present in many industries. Monitoring analyzing PFAS Africa is challenging due to the limited availability mass spectrometry (MS), which an essential technique for detecting PFAS. This review assesses scope impact shortage instruments Africa, emphasizing resulting limitations monitoring environmental public health threats. The abnormal levels of small molecules, such as iodide ions (I–), in biological systems can be key indicators certain diseases and may pose risks to human health, playing a significant role various physiological processes. Herein, we developed solvothermal method for the synthesis CeO2-based nanozymes (CeO2 NPs, CeO2@Mn CeO2@Se NPs), which serve recognition probes quantitative detection I– urine blood using both colorimetric fluorescence dual methods. NPs showed excellent catalytic activity with aid O-phenylenediamine (OPD) chromogenic substrate; oxidation OPD presence H2O2 produce yellow OPDOX was catalyzed by acting peroxidase enzyme, neutral environment (pH = 6) I–. displayed distinct absorption peaks at 275 nm 450 nm, along maximum emission peak 575 under 380 excitation.
