ABSTRACT: Microbial fuel cells (MFCs) harness microorganisms' metabolic processes to convert organic compounds into electricity, offering an eco-friendly energy solution. As the global demand for sustainable sources increases, MFCs have emerged as a promising technology both bioremediation and biomass power generation. However, optimizing microbial performance remains challenge, particularly in identifying enhancing role of electroactive bacteria. Among them, Lysinibacillus sp. has shown potential efficient electron transfer, yet its contributions MFC remain underexplored. To address this gap, bibliometric analysis provides systematic approach mapping research trends, key contributors, evaluating evolution scientific knowledge field. This study employs via Dimensions AI VOSviewer explore on MFCs. The identified 3029 publications from 2015 2024, peaking 2022 2023. Dominant fields include biological sciences microbiology, with 1210 571 publications, respectively. Varjani, Sunita was most prolific author, India leading contributor 610 documents 19,663 citations. Bioresource Technology top journal, Amity University led co-authorship. Key references are Geyer, R., Logan, B.E. insights significant future directions advancing technologies.
