Developing two-dimensional (2D) hybrid nanosheet arrays integrating inorganic and organic components is highly significant for third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) applications. Herein, an oriented 2D porphyrin-based MOF (ZnTPyP(Co)) thin film composed of vertically stacked ultrathin nanosheets was fabricated via the liquid-phase epitaxial (LPE) layer-by-layer (LBL) method. The prepared ZnTPyP(Co) exhibits outstanding NLO response with a high susceptibility ∼2.63 × 10–7 esu, which ascribed to array structure. Additionally, experimental Z-scan measurement theoretical calculations also demonstrate that substitution Co metal ions in porphyrinic core can increase level delocalization group contribute material's enhanced properties. These findings not only provide new candidates application but highlight potential advanced devices.

The molecular design of new compounds with enhanced third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) applications is an important research topic in the area functional materials. present study describes a 3D metal-organic framework [Zn3(μ3-bta)2(μ4-ata)2]n (abbreviated as NH2-Zn-MUM-6), generated solvothermally from multicomponent system composed zinc(II) ions and 2-aminoterephthalic acid (H2ata) 1H-benzotriazole (Hbta) linkers. Apart intricate porous structure seh-4,6-Imma topology, this MOF features good thermal stability exceptional NLO characteristics. These were investigated detail by Z-scan method, revealing remarkably high values refractive index (n2 = 30.83 × 10-8 cm2/W) absorption coefficient (β 4.06 10-4 cm/W). An extended π-conjugation both aromatic ligands, μ3-bta- μ4-ata2-, their interaction Zn centers contribute to formation highly polarizable system, thus significantly enhancing its capacity for behavior. This broadens family materials provides insights into relationship between properties amino-functionalized mixed-linker MOFs viewpoint such all-optical switching data transmission.

Large enhancement of nonlinear absorption and refraction are achieved simultaneously in highly ordered two dimensional (2D) covalent organic framework (COF) films prepared by solidliquid interface one-step method to overcome the weakness COF powders solubility. In intrinsic optical response obtained at 532 nm with 5 ns pulse, coefficients (β) -4.87 × 10-5 -1.29 m W-1, respectively. Simultaneously, fitted closed-aperture curves also show large refractive indexes (n2), -5.62 10-12 m2 W-1 -0.76 W-1. The 4f coherent imaging performed same condition a single-shot pulse further verifies outstanding without any damage probably experienced Z-scan technique. Moreover, differences electronic structure photoexcited states between compared explain difference response. All results indicate that crystalline giant can be capable modulating both amplitude phase light, providing huge potential all-optical manipulating switching nanoscale as materials.
