Abstract In recent years, heavy metal ions pollution in the industrialized environment of societies threaten human health that flaunt ill‐sorted blueprints freshwater resources obviously. The paradigm designing luminescent multifunctional nanomaterials finds directions to strategies synthesizing cost‐effective, green, and versatile not only for detection, but also removal process large scale applications. Among them, discovering advances provides broad types biomaterials, polymers porous nanoparticles grabs focal investigations over past several years due their unique advantages such as enhanced detection efficiency with lowest limit (LOD), minimum interference process, fast responsivity selectivity outstanding physicochemical properties.
