Polysaccharides from Glycyrrhiza are known to have several bioactive effects. Previous studies found that low-molecular-weight polysaccharide (GP1) is degraded by Muribaculum_sp_H5 and promotes the production of beneficial bacteria metabolites, which improves immune disorder intestinal injury, then enhances body's regulation ability. However, effect GP1 on a healthy body has not been studied. In this study, we aimed reveal enhancement mechanism mice. The cytotoxicity immunomodulatory activity were analyzed cell experiment; effects antioxidation, gut microbiota structure studied in vivo. addition, enhancing response was multi-omics. results show enhanced function mice increasing index organs, improving organizational secretion cytokines immunoglobulin. also increased contents antioxidant factors such as total capacity (T-AOC), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) superoxide dismutase (SOD) various organs reduced content oxide malondialdehyde (MDA), thus capacity, promoting proliferation prolonging life. Moreover, promoted bacteria, including Muribaculaceae_unclassified, Muribaculum, Prevotellaceae_UCG-001, Paramuribaculum, characteristic metabolites (collectively referred postbiotics), α-tocopherol, arachidonic acid, melibiose, taurine, nicotinic acid. These postbiotics proven health maintaining functions. postbiotics, should be its effect. It expected promising dietary supplement.

Background: Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) rhizomes, whose secondary metabolites include polyphenols and terpenoids, have been used medicinally for millennia. However, modern scientific inquiry has primarily focused on medicinal effects of turmeric's polyphenolic curcuminoids, including when evaluating turmeric use to maintain bone health. Methods: Disease-specific biological major (polyphenols and/or terpenoids), with or without associated rhizome-derived polysaccharides, were determined in vivo using pre-clinical models clinically relevant resorptive diseases induced by different mechanisms. These included inflammatory arthritis, cancer-driven osteolytic metastases, hormone deficiency-driven post-menopausal osteoporosis. Results: In the arthritis model, safety profile curcuminoids alone was superior. terpenoids each had anti-inflammatory prevented resorption, polysaccharide-containing curcuminoid extracts having greater effect than alone. human breast cancer metastases containing polysaccharides tended yield reducing osteolysis tumor progression more complex extracts. contrast, only purified loss a osteoporosis while effect. vitro metabolite disease-specific mechanistic pathways synoviocytes, osteoclasts, cells consistent documented outcomes differential metabolite-specific effects. Conclusions: summary, these findings suggest that potential musculoskeletal are complex, pathway- target-specific, not limited concerns potentially limiting certain uses.
