Abstract BACKGROUND Microbial exopolysaccharides represent a significant source of polysaccharides, with their production unconstrained by temporal or spatial limitations. Penicillium , filamentous fungus widely recognized for its medicinal food applications, is known to produce that exhibit cancer‐inhibitory properties. RESULTS In the present study, from EF‐2 (EPS) were extracted and structurally characterized using ion chromatograph, infrared spectroscopy NMR. The in vitro antioxidant immunomodulatory activities also investigated. EPS has molecular weight 111.47 kDa, primarily composed mannose, glucose galactose, possesses crystalline region, exhibits excellent thermal free radical scavenging assays, demonstrated robust activity. Furthermore, activated mitogen‐activated protein kinase pathway, enhancing capacity macrophages. Background and Purpose Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs) constitute chronic inflammatory disease of the gastrointestinal tract, with escalating global prevalence. There is a pressing demand for safe effective treatments IBDs. Fibroblast growth factor 1 (FGF1) variant FGF1 ΔHBS , characterised by reduced mitogenic capacity, has shown promising therapeutic potential in various conditions, including obesity diabetic nephropathy. Hence, exploring impact on colitis warranted. Experimental Approach The protective role was evaluated using dextran sulphate sodium (DSS)‐induced model mice. The molecular structures and immunomodulatory effects of mycelial polysaccharides (MPSs) exopolysaccharides (EPSs) from wild-type (WT) Monascus purpureus M9 its α-1,3-glucan synthase gene (ags1) mutant strains (Δags1: deletion; ags1OE: overexpression) were compared in this study. Mycelial aggregation was reduced Δags1 increased ags1OE, confirming the positive regulatory role α-1,3-glucan. EPS content significantly higher lower whereas MPS contents showed opposite trend. relative galactomannan MPSs EPSs following order: ags1OE < WT ags1OE. In RAW 264.7 cells, both enhanced cell viability promoted NO cytokine (interleukin-6 tumor necrosis factor-α) secretion. Obesity represents a chronic metabolic disorder feature by dysregulated glucose-lipid homeostasis. We investigated the effects of flaxseed oil (FO), rich in α-linolenic acid, and its blended (BO) on high-fat diet-induced obese mice. Edible insects are a promising source of bioactive compounds with diverse health benefits. This study investigated the immunomodulatory properties polysaccharides isolated from Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis larvae (PBSL). Polysaccharides were fractionated using molecular weight cutoff membrane, and among these fractions, higher fraction (H-PBSL, 666.84 kDa) demonstrated significant activity. Methylation NMR structural analyses revealed H-PBSL to be an acidic heteroglycan complex structure, consisting backbone repeating (1→4)-linked α-glucan units highly branched at O-6 positions T-α-Glcp, T-α-GlcpA, T-β-Galp.
