Abstract Fusarium verticillioides isolated from soil was found to produce extracellular cutinase under optimized culture conditions. The enzyme purified using ion‐exchange and size‐exclusion chromatography, achieving a purification fold of 12.5 final yield 62%. molecular weight the determined be 25 kDa SDS‐PAGE. exhibited stability over temperature range 30–60 °C pH 6.0–9.0 retaining more than 85% its activity after 6 h incubation. It stable in presence various organic solvents (up 30% v/v) surfactants, whereas completely inhibited by serine protease inhibitor, that is, phenyl methane sulfonyl fluoride (PMSF), confirming an active residue catalytic site. This study highlights potential robust biocatalyst with demonstrated efficiency high yields.
