This study aims to evaluate the effect of extraction solvent type on physicochemical properties and bioactive compounds Actinostemma lobatum Maxim. kernel oil for two successive harvest years. Oils were extracted using bio-based 2-methyltetrahydrofuran (2-MeTHF) conventional petroleum-derived solvents (n-hexane 2-methylpentane). Results indicated that 2-MeTHF achieved significantly higher yields (27.60% in 2021 29.77% 2022) compared n-hexane 2-methylpentane. Unfortunately, 2-MeTHF-extracted oils exhibited greater susceptibility oxidation, displaying elevated levels primary secondary oxidation products relative other solvents. Meanwhile, 2-methylpentane-extracted showed a relatively high oxidative stability index. In addition, differential scanning calorimetry results also aligned with status. Further variance analysis revealed year exerted more pronounced impact fatty acid triacylglycerol profiles than type. Additionally, tocopherols tocotrienols abundant, β- δ-tocopherols predominating. harvested 2022 contained highest total tocols (1118.83 mg/kg) among all samples. Also, phytosterols detected, β-sitosterol constituting predominant compound. Furthermore, β-carotene contents These above findings concluded is good alternative extracting A. oil.
