Chlorogenic acid (CGA), a phenolic compound with diverse bioactivities, plays crucial role in plant defense mechanisms and has significant therapeutic potential human inflammatory cardiovascular diseases. The biosynthesis accumulation of CGA plants result from complex interplay between internal factors (e.g., hormones, enzymes, genes) external microbial interactions, drought, temperature fluctuations). This review systematically investigates the influence microbes on regulatory governing plants. is synthesized through four distinct metabolic pathways, genes as key regulators.
