In this work, we report the synthesis and photocatalytic properties of N,N-bis(n-hexyl)-2-bromo-6-(n-hexylamino)-1,4,5,8-naphthalenetetracarboxylic diimide photocatalyst, NDI-PC, in visible light. presence air or oxidant, NDI-PC efficiently enables multiple photooxygenations isoquinolines, thiocyanation phenylimidazopyridines, functionalization quinolinones by allowing regioselective installation an SCN, SeCN, SPh, SePh, Cl, Br, I group at C-3 position, isomerization alkenes. Mechanistic investigations suggest oxidative photoredox process for oxygenation C–H functionalization, while is believed to proceed through a photosensitization pathway.

An electrochemically promoted oxidative dehydrogenation cross-coupling reaction between aldehyde hydrazones and thiophenols is demonstrated for the first time, which results in a variety of thioetherified products moderate to excellent yields.

An efficient and environmentally friendly electrochemical oxidative selective halogenation of pyrazolones has been developed under conditions free metals, external oxidants, supporting electrolytes. The reaction demonstrates good functional group tolerance maintains high efficiency in large-scale synthesis, yielding moderate to excellent yields the desired 4-halopyrazolones. This method provides a green convenient route for direct installation halogen moiety into bioactive pyrazolone derivatives, which can be utilized myriad applications.

We report the development and application of different strategies for late-stage functionalization (LSF) biologically relevant 4-amino-2-pyridone chemotype. Using recently discovered PCSK9 inhibitor 5c as a prototype, series electrochemical LSF (e-LSF) multicomponent (MCR-LSF) have been set-up to decorate scaffold. The usefulness these methods has demonstrated by generating novel derivatives in site-selective sustainable way.
