A novel and environmentally friendly strategy has been developed for the efficient electrochemical synthesis of β-keto sulfones. This method enables sulfones by reacting easily available sulfonylhydrazide with enol acetate under mild conditions, especially without need transition metal catalysts or oxidants, which can achieve high yields. The scope this reaction was systematically explored various sulfonyl hydrazides acetates. scale-up successfully accomplished using an flow cell, demonstrating industrial applicability approach. Moreover, underlying mechanism further investigated through free radical scavenging experiments cyclic voltammetry studies.

A transition metal-free concise and efficient protocol for the synthesis of thiocyanated aminomaleimides benzo[e][1,4]thiazepine derivatives has been developed. The method involves an initial α-C–H thiocyanation with KSCN TEMPO-mediated tandem S–CN bond cleavage/intramolecular cyclization substitution processes, which enables formation seven-membered S/N-heterocycles. This synthetic strategy provides a reliable biologically interesting by using as sulfur sources well expands application enaminones reactions in heterocycles synthesis.

Comprehensive Summary A mechanistically distinctive visible‐light‐promoted metal‐free aerobic oxidation of alkenyl silanes with alcohols was disclosed to efficiently construct α ‐alkoxy ketones under mild conditions. The primary, secondary, and tertiary could be used as reactants. protocol carried out on a gram‐scale. Various derivatizations products conducted. Mechanistic studies indicated the reaction initiated by single‐electron silanes, rather than radical addition silanes.

Abstract β‐Ketosulfones were synthesized from enol acetates and sodium sulfinates under electrochemical conditions. The starting can act both as the supporting electrolyte source of S‐centered radicals, allowing electrolysis to proceed without external salt. Side reactions acetates’ oxidation are not observed, developed process is quite selective. proposed sulfonylation compatible with a wide range initial sulfinates. On basis literature data, control experiments, CV studies, presumable reaction pathway suggested. key intermediates sulfonyl radical, C‐centered benzylic β‐acetoxy‐β‐hydroxysulfone.
