A
cascade
reaction
of
cyclopropyl
alcohols,
DABSO
(1,4-diazoniabicyclo[2.2.2]octane-1,4-disulfinate),
and
N-(sulfonyl)acrylamides
has
been
developed.
This
tandem
process
went
through
a
cyclopropanol
ring
opening
Michael
addition
sequence.
The
γ-keto
sulfinate
generated
from
the
between
serves
as
nucleophilic
reagent,
N-(sulfonyl)acrylamide
is
used
acceptor.
By
utilizing
this
strategy,
multitudinous
sulfone-bridged
1,7-dicarbonyl
compounds
that
contain
both
β-sulfonyl
amide
unit
sulfone
skeleton
were
conveniently
synthesized.

A
visible-light-induced
three-component
coupling
of
aldehydes,
1,3-dienes,
and
cyclopropyl
alcohols
using
dual
photoredox
chromium
catalysis
is
herein
described.
This
efficient
protocol
achieves
the
dialkylation
1,3-dienes
toward
1,4-disubstituted
homoallylic
in
moderate
to
good
yields
with
excellent
regioselectivity,
featuring
mild
reaction
conditions,
functional
group
tolerance,
gram-scale
synthesis.
Mechanistic
study
suggests
that
photoinduced
sequential
ring
opening
alcohol
radical
nucleophilic
cascade
addition
are
involved
catalytic
cycle.

three-component
reaction
of
alkenyl
thianthrenium
salts,
cyclopropan-1-ols
and
DABCO·(SO2)2
under
catalyst-
additive-free
conditions,
is
accomplished.
This
sulfonylation
with
the
insertion
sulfur
dioxide
works
efficiently
very
mild
leading
to
a
wide
range
1-substituted
vinyl
sulfones
in
moderate
good
yields.
In
this
protocol,
scope
generality
salts
cyclopropyl
alcohols
demonstrated.
