Water
splitting
by
an
electrochemical
method
to
generate
hydrogen
gas
is
economic
and
green
approach
resolve
the
looming
energy
environmental
crisis.
Designing
a
composite
electrocatalyst
having
integrated
multichannel
charge
separation,
robust
stability,
low-cost
facile
scalability
could
be
considered
address
issue
of
evolution.
Herein,
we
report
superhydrophilic,
noble-metal-free
bimetallic
nanostructure
TiO2/Ni2P
coated
on
graphitic
polyacrylonitrile
carbon
fibers
(g-C/TiO2/Ni2P)
using
hydrothermal
followed
phosphorylation.
In
aqueous-based
route,
PAN
dissolved
in
water
presence
ZnCl2,
wet-spinning
prepare
scalable
PAN/ZnCl2
fibers.
The
nitrogen-contained
porous
are
prepared
via
pyrolysis
fibers;
now
ZnCl2
acts
as
volatile
porogen
form
matrix
structures.
Finally,
as-prepared
electrochemically
activated
incorporating
active
sites.
materials
formed
this
work
show
excellent
electrocatalytic
activity
for
evolution
reaction.
as-synthesized
g-C/TiO2/Ni2P
catalyst
shows
low
overpotential,
its
improved,
efficiency
better
than
that
commercial
Pt/C
catalyst.
At
current
density
−10
mA/cm2,
overpotential
55
mV,
while
77
mV.
Our
provides
aqueous
route
with
no
need
noble
metals
can
potential
alternative

Since
thermal
insulation
materials
with
a
single
function
cannot
satisfy
the
increasing
requirements
for
complex
usage,
combination
of
flame
retardancy
is
desirable
in
multiple
applications.
Herein,
phosphorous-containing
retardant
modifier
(5.0
wt.%,
9.0
and
13.0
wt.%)
hollow
silica
microsphere
(130
nm
diameter)
were
composited
polyacrylonitrile-based
carbon
nanofibers
via
electrospinning
technique.
Electrospun
phosphorous/silica/carbon
(P/HSM/CF)
exhibited
uniform
clear
fibrous
structure
(508,
170,
1550
average
fiber
modified
complete
spherical
silica.
Reduced
conductivity
(39.9–41.2
mW/m/K)
enhanced
limiting
oxygen
index
(29.5–33.5%)
achieved,
enabling
fire
protection
grade
membrane
from
UL-94
V-1
to
V-0
efficiently.
Moreover,
favorable
tensile
strength
(8.64–9.27
MPa)
elongation
at
break
(43.28–48.54%)
obtained,
presenting
expected
applications
structural
components.
The
findings
this
work
provided
valuable
reference
fabrication
nanofiber-based
excellent
mechanical
properties.
