A synthetic approach to dibenzophospholes was developed via the gold- and copper-catalyzed annulation reactions of arynes phosphites. The reaction conditions demonstrated a broad functional group tolerance, enabling synthesis diverse range dibenzophosphole 5-oxides. This method is useful for preparing with unique optical electronic properties.

A straightforward and efficient strategy for the synthesis of phosphachromones has been reported via insertion arynes into P–O bonds. A mild, efficient, and transition-metal-free three-component coupling reaction involving arynes, phosphites, aldehydes was established to afford 3-mono-substituted benzoxaphosphole 1-oxides. range of 1-oxides obtained from both aryl- aliphatic-substituted in moderate good yields. Moreover, the synthetic utility demonstrated by a Gram-scale transformation products into various P-containing bicycles.

Abstract Herein, we report an approach to phospha‐xanthenes from ortho ‐chalcone based organophosphines and arynes. These reactions proceeded through a sequential process consisting of formal [4+2] cycloaddition, arylation, P−OH formation P−C bond cleavage. A gram‐scale preparation chemical conversion were performed demonstrate the synthetic utility this method. Also, possible mechanism was proposed on control experiments.
