Abstract
A
novel
palladium‐catalyzed
three‐component
carbonylation
reaction
for
the
assembly
of
various
1,3‐substituted
maleimide
derivatives
from
haloalkynes
and
simple
anilines.
The
nucleophilic
addition
haloalkynes,
anilines
CO,
insertion
carbonyl
have
been
achieved
sequentially
in
this
reaction.
high
chemo‐
regioselectivities,
as
well
no
need
expensive
ligands
or
additives
further
illustrate
synthetic
value
approach.

Abstract
When
a
mixture
containing
1‐halo‐1‐alkyne,
dinucleophilic
agent,
and
base
(Cs
2
CO
3
or
K
PO
4
)
was
heated
in
DMF,
regio‐
stereo‐selective
nucleophilic
addition
of
the
agent
to
acetylenes
occurred.
This
reaction
yielded
(
Z
,
)‐bis(haloalkene),
which
subsequently
underwent
Pd‐catalyzed
cyclization
through
C−H
bond
activation,
resulting
formation
two‐oxygen‐
‐nitrogen‐containing
hetero‐π‐conjugated
compounds.
N
‐(5‐Hydroxynaphthalen‐1‐yl)methanesulfonamide
treated
with
2‐phenyl‐1‐chloroethyne
followed
by
1‐chloro‐1‐hexadecyne.
After
these
reactions,
double
employed
produce
1
H
‐2‐phenyl‐7‐tetradecylbenzofuro[7,6‐
g
]indole.
Notably,
this
compound
transformed
into
fan‐shaped
structure
at
86
°C
transitioned
smectic
A
phase
characterized
layered
structure.
