Abstract A radical cascade reaction has been established for the efficient synthesis of an entirely new class heterocycles, i.e., maleimides‐fused thiochromenes. The between aryl thiols and styryl diazo imides is initiated by a initiator, AIBN, to generate thiyl radical, which undergoes chemoselective intermolecular addition C═C bond other species, further cyclize with liberation dinitrogen. synthetic approach allows rapid access diverse thiochromenes in good yields under mild conditions.
