Herein
a
metal-free
approach
for
the
synthesis
of
isoquinolone
derivatives
by
means
photoinitiated
deaminative
[4+2]
annulation
alkynes
and
N-amidepyridinium
salts
is
described.
This
protocol
exhibits
broad
scope
good
functional
group
tolerance
regioselectivity
under
benign
reaction
conditions.
Preliminary
studies
suggest
that
critical
amide
radical
derived
from
photocatalytic
cleavage
N-N
bond
salt,
which
adds
to
triple
alkyne
undergoes
process
afford
desired
isoquinolones.

Isoquinolones
(isoquinolin-1(2H)-ones)
are
one
of
the
important
nitrogen-heterocyclic
compounds
having
versatile
biological
and
physiological
activities,
their
synthetic
methods
have
been
recently
developed
greatly.
This
short
review
illustrates
significant
advances
in
construction
isoquinolone
ring
with
atom-
step-economy,
focusing
on
intermolecular
annulation
protocols

cyclization
