The rational design and facile preparation of a catalyst with high activity, strong durability low consumption for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is an ongoing challenge in water splitting to generate clean renewable H2 fuel. Herein, bimetallic metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) uniform morphology, controlled metal ratio crystallinity were constructed using simple reliable one-step solvothermal method. three-dimensional (3D) flower-like MOF (F-Ni1Co4-BTC) Ni Co molar 1 : 4 coordinated 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid exhibited excellent OER catalytic activity compared its corresponding counterparts, which can be attributed establishment exquisite proportion dual-metal center, formation active intermediates. Furthermore, when F-Ni1Co4-BTC was directly grown on carbon cloth (F-Ni1Co4-BTC/CC), it achieved obvious improvement electrochemical performance, affording overpotential 292 mV at current density 10 mA cm-2, small Tafel slope (48 dec-1), mechanical alkaline electrolyte, due integrated electrode attained richer sites faster electron transfer rate introduction highly conductive cloth. Our work offers promising strategy tailor properties MOFs possibility efficient earth-abundant catalysts practical applications.
