The exploration of emerging functionalized quantum dots (QDs) through modulating the effective interaction between sensing element and target analyte is great significance for high-performance trace sensing. Here, chromone-based ligand grafted QDs (QDs-Chromone) were initiated to realize electronic energy transfer (EET) driven specifically by ethylenediamine (EDA) in absence spectral overlap. fluorescent colorimetric dual-mode responses (from red blue from colorless yellow, respectively) resulting expanded conjugated ligands reinforced analytical selectivity, endowing an ultrasensitive specific response submicromolar-liquid EDA. In addition, a QDs-Chromone-based chip was constructed achieve recognition EDA vapor with naked-eye observed at concentration as low 10 ppm, well robust anti-interfering ability complicated scenarios monitoring. Abstract The strong electrophilicity of arylpyrylium salts was recognized for the colorimetric detection vital amine analytes, limited to ammonia or methylamines and putrescine as biogenic amine. This report presents conformationally twisted, electrophilic triphenylamine-linked 2,4,6-tristyryl pyrylium salt PyTPA a single dye sense various aliphatic/aromatic amines, nicotine, guanidine rapidly in nanomolar concentrations. unexplored styrylpyrylium design offers specific electronic conjugations, steric/geometric constraints with hydrophobicity, decent thermal/photostability, facilitating precise diverse amines unique fashions. deep-violet solution/solid responded remarkably at 298 K quick decoloration against putrescine, cadaverine, spermidine, spermine, histamines, serotonin, 2-phenylethylamine. Further, this could detect nicotine 313 distinctively diminished absorption unexpected red-shifted emission enhancement. Variation mechanistic path is detecting holding mono/di-NH 2 groups short/ long alkane chains, elucidated by mass, 1 H-NMR, FT-IR, SEM, PXRD, XPS studies. notable these different phases employed onsite applications fresh chicken tuna.
