Abstract
Despite
achieving
a
significant
demand,
single‐component
white
light
(SCWL)
generation
from
polymeric
materials
is
fundamental
challenge.
Moreover,
SCWL
emission
conjugated
microporous
polymers
(CMPs)
sporadic.
So
far,
all
these
emissive
CMPs
are
typically
constructed
by
linking
electron‐donor
and
acceptor
systems
using
expensive
metal/ligands
at
higher
temperatures
long
duration.
Herein,
facile
metal/ligand‐free
approach
developed
to
access
newly
designed,
conformationally
twisted,
electron‐rich,
vinylene‐linked
dual‐state
WL
polymer
quantitatively
25
°C
via
Horner‐Wadsworth‐Emmons
reaction.
This
CMP
emits
intense
in
solution
yellow
the
solid
state,
after
blending
with
polyvinyl
alcohol,
generates
flexible,
thin
film.
Among
incorporated
electron‐rich
units,
suitably
oriented
triphenylamine
acts
as
donor
anthracene
an
acceptor.
Such
donor–acceptor
units
facilitate
emitting
entire
visible
region.
The
[CIE
(Commission
Internationale
de
l'Éclairage):
0.29,
0.32]
tuned
adjusting
concentration
dimethyl
sulfoxide,
film

CIE

This
work
introduces
metal/column-free
facile
quantitative
access
to
conformationally
twisted
catechol-linked
organophosphonate
(CAP)
as
a
blue-emitting
solid
that
could
reversibly
detect
only
1,3-diaminopropane
(DAP)
and
1,2-ethylenediamine
(EDA)
vapors,
belonging
industrially
pharmaceutically
abundant
crucial
diamines.

CAP,
two
adjacent
hydroxy
groups
in
benzene
ring
facilitate
selective
diamine–dihydroxy
(amine–phenol
type)
interactions
the
phase,
leading
quenched
emission
with
selectively
smaller
aliphatic
PAs,
is,
DAP
EDA.
The
disparity
was
noticed
an
isomeric
resorcinol-linked
emitter
(RAP),
detecting
various
polyamine
vapors
superior
sensitivity.
A
one-carbon-away
placed
group
RAP
can
generate
monoamine–hydroxy
complex,
not
diamine–dihydroxy.

acidic
nature

resorcinol

ionizing
amines
