Nanocomposites have been widely used in many important areas due to their particular physical/chemical properties; however, just though a simple technology, endowing multiple functions into single nanomaterial for realizing multifunctional applications is still challenge. Here, we report robust method the facile synthesis of Ag-based nanocomposites via using tannin-coated phenol-formaldehyde resin nanospheres (TA-PFRN) as silver nanoparticle (Ag NP) carriers. The thickness tannin coating readily tuned from 50 320 nm by regulating concentration added. Under optimal conditions, TA-PFRN has 23.8 wt % Ag NPs loading capacity with only 17.2 NP layers. Consequently, novel TA-PFRN@Ag possess and integrated characteristics. As catalysts, catalytic efficiency nearly 6 times higher than that PFRN@Ag. highly effective free radical initiators, can trigger ultrafast acrylic acid (AA)/acrylamide (AM) polymerization at room temperature (in few minutes). nano-reinforced fillers, addition 0.04 improve tensile strength PVA film 60 153.2 MPa. In addition, also serve antibacterial agents, efficiently inhibiting growth Escherichia coli (E. coli) Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus); antiultraviolet presence endows film/hydrogel materials excellent ultraviolet (UV) shielding. Corozo (Bactris guineensis H.E. Moore) is a fruit from the Colombian Caribbean region valued for its thermostable anthocyanins, which are responsible characteristic reddish colour. This study aimed to evaluate physicochemical, structural, and functional properties an intelligent biodegradable film design based on polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) matrix incorporating extract rich in with potential applications food packaging. Anthocyanins were extracted evaluated throughout central composite (CCD) effects of three variables-extraction time (t), temperature (T), solvent concentration (CS). A quadratic model (R2 = 0.9586) demonstrated that exocarp (peel) was most effective source anthocyanins. The best conditions 1:16.66 solid-to-solvent ratio at 50 °C 75 min, yielding 38.65 mg EC3G/L. PVOH films formulated using anthocyanin (CAE), characterised total content. Characterisation revealed incorporation Corozo-derived phenolic compounds did not cause significant (p < 0.05) changes structural or water interaction compared those control sample.
