Polymer-dispersed liquid crystals (PDLCs) exhibiting electro-optical (E-O) conversion capabilities facilitate modulation across the ultraviolet (UV) to infrared (IR) spectrum. In this study, a bilayer TiN-PVP/PDLC composite film device was prepared by utilizing commercially available polymers and nanoparticles enhance UV IR shielding efficacy. By optimizing ratio of polymer monomers within PDLC layer, superior E-O characteristics were achieved, which further augmented through incorporation TiN-PVP film. The results showed that films had maximum contrast when TiN doping content 1.5 wt %. Notably, demonstrated significant thermal performance under irradiation, with efficiencies exceeding 60% in both off on states, while exhibited commendable values 96.8% 56.9% corresponding states. This facilely synthesized holds promise for passive cooling applications smart window technologies architectural structures.

The development of camouflage materials that are adapted to various environmental conditions and actively switch can greatly improve stealth reliability. In flexible dual-layer design PVA separator layer, areas exceeds 100 easily visible naked eye. Unlike previous static or single-stimulus systems, material dynamically adapt environments. By coordinating thermochromic electro-optic mechanisms, fast multiresponse dual encryption (thermal/electric field) achieved. This work bridges gap adaptive real-world applications, offering transformative potential information security wearable technology.

The unsatisfactory electro-optical properties of polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) are still an important factor limiting its further development and application, in which high haze off-state, low driving voltage, fast response time have been the goals pursued by researchers. In this work, two types PDLC with different morphologies were prepared, their measured. An optical model for nonsmooth multilayer film was also built. results show that samples prepared hexyl acrylate characterized haze, response. On contrary, isooctyl isodecyl very but poor performance voltage time. Compared traditional means morphology control, present work has advantages a simple preparation method obvious phenomena. It provides crystal/polymer composites meeting requirements future, can be achieved introducing specific monomers.
