Regulating the energy level of a lanthanide (III) metal–organic framework (Ln-MOF) via an "antenna effect" is effective strategy for achieving ratiometric luminescent dynamics carcinoid biomarker sensing application. Herein, we present europium-based MOF material {[Eu(BPDC)(μ3–OH)(H2O)2]·2.5H2O}n (Eu-MOF, H2BPDC = 2,2′-bipyridine-4,4′-dicarboxylic acid and DMF N,N-dimethylformamide), incorporating tetranuclear cubane-like [Eu4(μ3–OH)4(COO)4]4– cluster cores, 5-hydroxyindole-3-acetic (5-HIAA) detection through influence Eu3+ ions sensitized by ligands as well 5-HIAA. Luminescence titration experiments indicate Eu-MOF can demonstrate simultaneous luminescence emission signals cations 5-HIAA, resulting in on–off 5-HIAA response to concentrations demonstrating superior stability excellent performance such low limit (LOD 37.16 nM), high selectivity (Ksv 2.39 × 104 M–1), fast (≤1 min), attractive recyclability (≥five times). Developing a sensitive, rapid, and accurate method for the quantitative visual detection of anthrax biomarker dipicolinic acid (DPA) is great significance to human health public safety. Due presence "antenna effect", sensitization Eu3+ ions Tb3+ can be facilely achieved by organic ligands with different degrees exhibits excellent luminescence behavior ions, enabling dual-centered lanthanide metal–organic framework (Ln-MOF) promising ratiometric fluorescence sensor trace DPA determination. Herein, we present series nanoporous frameworks, denoted as {EuxTb1–x(BPDC)(μ3-OH)(H2O)·H2O·DMF}n (EuxTb1–x-BPDC) assembled 2,2′-bipyridine-4,4′-dicarboxylic (H2BPDC), sensors DPA. Among these, Eu0.5Tb0.5-BPDC stands out optimal material, exhibiting superior performance quantitative, visual, detection. In this work, Dy(NO3)3·6H2O and o-vanillin reacted under "one-pot" conditions, achieving for the first time four efficient condensations of obtaining a pair chiral hexanuclear clusters R/S-Dy6. The Dy(III) ions in structure R/S-Dy6 are arranged planar quadrilateral with ion derived from each upper lower ends, forming shape similar to "chair". complex ligands H4LR1 H4LS1 were obtained simple through multistep tandem reaction. Their formation process involved series reaction steps, including free radical coupling form pinacol an situ o-vanillin. Magnetic studies show that have magnetic anisotropy and/or low excited states. addition, has outstanding ability produce reactive oxygen species low-power light irradiation shows excellent photodynamic sterilization. inhibition zones against Escherichia coli about 2.09 2.99 cm, Staphylococcus aureus 2.51 2.93 respectively.
