Abstract Ultrasensitive flexible devices have huge applications in many areas, like healthcare monitoring, human–machine interaction, and wearable technology. However, improving the sensitivity of these is still challenging. In current study, a non‐contact sensing system designed with interface using defect‐engineered, few‐layered Molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2 ). The fabricated sensors show high when monitoring proximity, humidity, in‐plane applied strain. output performance demonstrates influence surface defects, which greatly impact average charge nanosheets. experimental measurements in‐detail density functional theoretical (DFT) calculation further reveal variations on basal planes that correlate topographic defects increase sensitivity. electrical signals for different gestures human hands are used to illustrate identification multidirectional bending sliding events. These findings will contribute understanding effect play an important role interface.
