Parkinson's disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder, affecting lives of millions people worldwide. Although mechanism underlying PD pathogenesis largely undefined, increasing evidence indicates that oxidative and nitrosative stresses play a crucial role in occurrence development. Among them, stress has been widely acknowledged, but there relatively less attention given to stress, which mainly derived from peroxynitrite. In present review, after briefly introducing background PD, we discuss physiopathological function peroxynitrite especially highlight how overloaded involved pathogenesis. Then, summarize currently reported fluorescence imaging-based detection probes. Moreover, specifically emphasize probes have applied research. Finally, propose perspectives on develop more applicable probe leverage it for theranostics. Conclusively, review broadens knowledge pathological context sheds light utilize strategies detection.
