Polymer recycling is an essential and crucial topic in our sustainability-driven society. The depletion of oil the increasing interest biomass conversion clearly stimulate search for alternative carbon sources. On other hand, polymeric products (plastic, rubber etc.) are ubiquitous integral part life. Recycling these thus paramount importance, perhaps crucially, from environmental point view. In this work, we will focus on most common commodities, with important being (in terms production volume) thermoplastics, rubbers thermosets. A consequence choice that materials as well chemical biochemical methods be discussed. New advances corresponding technologies presented critically evaluated. Finally, basis literature review, identify current trends possible future developments.
