Abstract The emergence of nanotechnology has significantly promoted the development medical field, and nanomedicines broadened application potential existing drugs. However, at present, many new types suffer from poor stability, uncertain safety, complex preparation processes, high costs. nano‐ Chinese herbal medicines (CHMs) provided ideas for nanomedicines. Nano‐CHMs are simple to prepare, easily accessible, possess stable reliable safety. This review highlighted nanoparticles with pharmacological activities important material basis CHM formula decoctions. Given composition formulas, article further presented nanoaggregates exosome‐like vesicle nanostructures in single herbs, self‐assembly effect natural compounds. For first time, this systematically introduced characteristics formulas herbs then compounds, nano‐aggregates unclear components structures self‐assembled supramolecular materials. It also summarized problems be solved research CHMs applications, aiming provide guidance modernization ‐related nanoparticles.

There are abundant natural products resources and extensive clinical use experience in China. However, the active components of generally have problems such as poor water solubility low bioavailability, which limit their druggability. Carrier-free nanoparticles, nanocrystals, self-assembled extracellular vesicles derived from both animal plant sources, great application potential improving safety efficacy drugs due to simple flexible preparation methods, high drug loading capacity delivery efficiency, well long half-life blood circulation. It has been widely used biomedical fields anti-tumor, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory anti-oxidation. Therefore, based on that clinic, this review focuses advantages carrier-free nanoparticles delivering compounds, order improve process vivo draggability.

Abstract Radiotherapy induced skin defect (RISD) is a severe radiotherapy complication with persistent oxidative stress and recurrent excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS), impeding normal tissue repair processes. Nevertheless, the lack of standardized animal model severely hinders progress related research work. We develop novel strategy for repairing RISD microenvironment, which combines initial ROS clearance, subsequent inhibition production proliferation cell pathways/functions. As proof concept, composite microneedle (MN) patch comprising γ‐polyglutamic acid as base ruthenium (Ru) clusters modified magnesium silicate nanosheets (MSR NSs) enzyme‐like component prepared. The Ru have excellent scavenging ability help activate peroxisome proliferators activated receptor signaling pathway confirmed by sequencing analysis while degraded under physiological conditions to release ions ions, enhancing proliferation, migration, angiogenesis ability. radiation established evaluate efficacy our MSR@MN in comparison γPGA‐MSR ointment commercial product Orgotein. results show that effectively improves pathological microenvironment abnormal accumulation, reduces inflammatory response promotes mature remodeling.

The rapid development of self-assembly technology during the past few decades has effectively addressed plenty issues associated with carrier-based drug delivery systems, such as low loading efficiency, complex fabrication processes, and inherent toxicity carriers. integration nanoscale systems techniques enabled efficient targeted self-administration drugs, enhanced bioavailability, prolonged circulation time, controllable release. Concurrently, limitations single-mode cancer treatment, including poor therapeutic outcomes, significant side effects, have highlighted urgent need for multimodal combined antitumor therapies. Set against backdrop therapy, this review summarizes research progress applications a large number self-assembled platforms, natural small molecule self-assembled, carrier-free amphiphilic polymer-based peptide-based metal-based nano systems. This particularly analyzes latest advances in application platforms therapies mediated by chemotherapy, phototherapy, radiotherapy, sonodynamic immunotherapy, providing innovative insights further optimization expansion clinical translation therapy.
