Drought and salinity are major factors that hinder crop cultivation significantly impair agricultural productivity, particularly in (semi)arid regions. These two abiotic constraints cause deterioration soil structure reduced fertility hamper plant growth by limiting access to mineral elements water, thereby threatening global food security. What’s more, the excessive, long-term use of chemical fertilizers boost productivity can disrupt balance ecosystems, health. Faced with these challenges, sustainable exploitation natural resources, particular rhizospheric microorganisms, is an environmentally friendly solution. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi play important role as biofertilizers due their symbiotic relationship roots nearly 80% plants. They promote not only host plants but also resistance stresses. Among fungi, Glomus genus stands out for its predominance plants’ rhizosphere thanks richness high-performance species ecological adaptability. This review highlights importance within this soils, terrestrial ecosystems subject (semi-)arid climates. Molecular mechanisms underlying tolerance drought salt stress symbiosis explored.

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) have been shown to play a major role in regulating the accumulation, transport, and toxicity of cadmium (Cd) plant tissues. This review aims highlight current understanding mechanisms by which AMF alleviate Cd plants. accumulation agricultural soils has become an increasing global concern due industrial activities use phosphatic fertilizers. disrupts various physiological processes plants, adversely affecting growth, photosynthesis, oxidative stress responses, secondary metabolism. plants through multiple mechanisms, including reduced transport into roots, improved nutritional status, modulation organic acid protein exudation, enhanced antioxidant capacity, maintenance ion homeostasis. colonization also influences speciation, bioavailability, compartmentalization within The expression metal transporter genes, as well synthesis phytochelatins metallothioneins, are modulated during stress. However, efficacy mitigating depends on several factors, such soil properties, species, taxa, experimental duration. Further knowledge intricate plant–AMF–Cd interactions is crucial for optimizing AMF-assisted phytoremediation strategies developing Cd-tolerant high-yielding crop varieties cultivation contaminated soils.

Abstract Our aim was to assess the physical and biochemical properties of soil, chemodiversity dissolved soil organic matter (SOM), arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) community associated with Ocotea porosa forests in Brazilian Atlantic Forest biome. We evaluated (i) using standard protocols, (ii) SOM its optical characterization via Fourier‐transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry, (iii) AMF structure root colonization through morphological characterization. The highest values for Ca 2+ , Mg SOM, S, P, K + Zn geometric mean diameter, weighted average microbial C biomass, respiration, total glomalin, colonization, oxalic malic acids, carbohydrates, lipids, proteins/amino sugars, biological index, fluorescence index were observed preserved plots. also found differences land conservation status: Acaulosporaceae Gigasporaceae strongly correlated Claroideoglomus claroideum Funneliformis mosseae Rhizophagus intraradices more prevalent degraded This has potential increase sequestration, mitigate climate change, contribute preservation an endangered, century‐old tree species

Abstract Bacterial communities play an important role in mangrove ecosystems. In order to gain information on the bacterial species and rhizospheres grown Zhangjiangkou National Mangrove Nature Reserve, this study collected root, branch, leaf samples from five as well rhizosphere non-rhizosphere analyzed community structure of endophytic bacteria using Illumina high-throughput sequencing technique. Bacteria 52 phyla, 64 classes, 152 orders, 295 families, 794 genera were identified, which mainly belonged Proteobacteria, Cyanobacteria, Actinobacteria, Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, Fusobacteria, Nitrospirota. At each taxonomic level, varied slightly with species, but differed greatly plant species. The diversity indices branch Acanthus ilicifolius significantly lower, tissues had higher abundance replication/repair translation Clusters Orthologous Genes functional categories lower carbohydrate metabolism category. This helps understand characteristics different plants. Provide a theoretical basis for in-depth research functions

The aim of this research was to look at the various biological potentials and phytochemical components S. glauca. Utilizing FT-IR spectroscopy, different functional groups were identified. Tests for total reducing power (TRP), antioxidant capacity (TAC), DPPH employed assess qualities a specific medicinal plant. antibacterial activity five strains bacteria assessed using disc diffusion method. Laboratory-cultured nauplii killed in brine shrimp lethality experiment cytotoxic capability. Statistical software version 8.1 utilized conduct an analysis variance (ANOVA), with each being repeated three times. In glauca, ten distinct found.
