Abstract The accumulation of granite waste can result in the occupation a considerable amount land resources. Using as glass ceramics for architectural decoration represents potential solution to this issue. microstructure, valence state, and crystalline phase copper ions were examined by using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential calorimetry (DSC), diffraction (XRD). findings demonstrated that concentration Na 2 SiF 6 affects condition Cu crystallized glass. phases sample containing 1.84 wt% consisted forsterite (MgSiO 3 ) diopside (CaMgSi O ), + accounted 39.9% total which showed grey-black color. For 3.67 , richterite (Na, F) syn (Na Ca) Mg 5 Si 8 22 F cuprite (Cu O), forsterite, its 39.9%, appeared orange-red. With increase content, percentage an increasing trend, corresponding red color samples gradually deepened.

Aluminum (Al) and its alloys have been widely used in daily life, but the absence of antibacterial properties makes them potential vectors for bacterial transmission. In this study, an Ag-doped TiO2 coating was successfully prepared on porous surface etched Al foil using sol-gel method. The results indicated that layer allowed gel to permeate through holes, thereby forming interface carrying these agents with a thickness about 10 μm. Ag dopant promoted transformation titania from rutile anatase during calcination process, being absent when atomic ratio Ti reached 0.10. Meanwhile, doped Ag+ thermally decomposed into metallic Ag0. As result, doping enhanced photocatalytic efficacy coating. Moreover, rate against Escherichia coli Staphylococcus aureus under dark conditions could reach more than 99%, corrosion resistance also slightly improved by it.

Abstract This study explores the synergistic antibacterial activity of ZnO nanorods (NRs) decorated with TiO₂ nanoparticles (NPs) and reduced graphene oxide nanosheets (rGO NSs). NRs binary ZnO‐TiO₂ nanocomposites (ZT NCs) varying content were synthesized using an in situ sol–gel method subsequently modified different amounts rGO NSs. The characterized advanced techniques to assess their structure performance. X‐ray diffraction (XRD) confirmed dominance hexagonal wurtzite structure, while Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR) interconnectivity. A slight red shift UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectra indicated changes optical properties, BET analysis showed increase surface area pore volume due incorporation. ternary ZT‐rGO (ZTR) NCs, particularly ZTR 4 (with wt% rGO), exhibited significant antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant properties. enhanced efficacy against both Gram‐positive ( Staphylococcus aureus , Bacillus cereus ) Gram‐negative bacteria Escherichia coli Pseudomonas aeruginosa ), as well Candida albicans . results highlight effects making them promising candidates for applications biomedical environmental fields effective agents.

Background: Recent developments in nanotechnology have provided efficient and promising methods for the treatment of diseases to achieve better therapeutic results lower side effects.
