Abstract Increasing soil salinity is already having a significant effect on production losses of commercial vegetables around the globe. Thus, implementation innovative techniques crucial to cultivate these amidst unfavourable conditions. Halophytes are potential plants for resilient agricultural systems, such as intercropping with glycophytes, enhance their productivity in saline soils. Therefore, purpose this study was examine halophyte Tetragonia decumbens alleviating damaging effects stress spinach ( Spinacia oleracea ). Spinach seedlings were grown alone and consociation under various salt stresses (50, 100, 150 200 mM NaCl). Results showed that increasing reduced crop growth, relative water content, chlorophyll, nutritional quality monocultured system. Similarly, high treatment induced severe oxidative depicted by amounts superoxide, malondialdehyde upregulation superoxide dismutase, catalase, peroxidase, polyphenols, flavonoids. Interestingly, intercropped irrigated 50 100 revealed substantial enhancement performance, reduction had improved minerals, proximate constituents, vitamins. These results support introduction T. vegetable farming systems highlights its positive impact improving overall performance sensitive condition.
