The current methods for the detection of silver ions (Ag+) encounter challenges, including complexity, high cost, potential sample damage, and interference from other ions. In this article, we proposed a facile strategy fabrication dual-emission biomass chiral carbon quantum dots (CQDs) demonstrated their applications ratiometric visual Ag+ sensing. Dual-emission CQDs were synthesized via two-step hydrothermal method, employing sugar cane molasses as source, l-cysteine/d-cysteine (L/D-Cys) Rhodamine B (RhB) modifiers. as-prepared with excellent dispersibility uniform particle size manifest intriguing enhanced behavior at 412 580 nm. With increasing concentration, both fluorescence bands nm decreased gradually. By monitoring variation (F580 nm/F412 nm2), developed an effective platform highly sensitive selective fluorescent sensing, wide linear range 22–220 μM low limit 0.14 μM. DFT calculations, UV–vis spectrum, lifetime results confirmed static quenching mechanism inner filter effect (IFE) Ch-CQDs-RhB caused by Ag+. Importantly, devised liquid scale sensor well paper-based colorimetric sensor, enabling rapid qualitative quantitative determination
