A hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent (HDES) based on trioctylphosphine oxide and decanoic acid was successfully exploited to separate lanthanides from battery leachates. Subsequently, chemical conditions were defined for stripping the metal ions aqueous phase, quantitative separation of La Ce, their recoveries as La2(C2O4)3 Ce(OH)4. To achieve a higher yield greenness, process optimized in relation used waste leaching (HNO3, H2SO4, CH3SO3H), mass ratio phase (WP:HP), experimental back-extraction (Ln) an recovery precipitates. Leaching with 2.0 mol L–1 HNO3 more selective Ln transition metals further yielded better extraction HDES. High-extraction efficiencies (96% 98% Ce) achieved at WP:HP 1:8 factors 763 La/Ni 1149 Ce/Ni. stripped HDES 4.0 HCl solution, recovered Ce(IV) hydroxide La(III) oxalate. The mechanism proposed, each step procedure evaluated. global 86.8% 97.6% solids obtained >99.6% purity, characterized by energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometry coupled electron scanning microscopy inductively plasma optical emission analysis. recycling reuse least five cycles without affecting or selectivity demonstrated, increasing environmental friendliness this approach. Abstract Assessing the formation of a deep eutectic solvent (DES) necessitates solid-liquid equilibrium phase diagram. Yet, many studies focusing on DES applications do not include this diagram because challenges in measurement, leading to misidentified points. The present study provides practical approach for estimating any binary mixture from structural information, utilizing machine learning and quantum chemical techniques. selected model reasonably high accuracy predicting melting point ( R 2 = 0.84; RMSE 40.53 K) fusion enthalpy 4.96 kJ mol −1 ) pure compounds upon evaluation by test data. By pinpointing coordinates within an extensive space, we highlighted impact mole fractions properties temperatures.
