The development of efficient catalysts for the catalytic conversion CO2 is extremely important in process chemistry. In this work, a Zn-based coordination polymer (ZnBr2-CP) was synthesized from tridentate pyridine ligand bearing an imidazolium salt ligated with ZnBr2. It possesses not only high activity homogeneous but also recoverable features heterogeneous catalysts. More importantly, configured double active sites allow catalyst ZnBr2-CP to exhibit excellent cycloaddition epoxides under solvent- and co-catalyst-free conditions, achieving yields as 99% variety cyclic carbonates at 80 °C 24 h. This study provides insight into design CO2.

Developing green and low-cost catalytic systems is highly desired in the chemical conversion of carbon dioxide into value-added products. A zwitterionic polymer, with a bowknot-like morphology consisting uniform nanosheets, synthesized from biomass-derived cinnamic acid via simple copolymerization strategy. The as-prepared polymer (PEMP) has been employed to catalyze cycloaddition reaction epoxides atmospheric CO2, affording 9 cyclic carbonates good excellent yields under metal-free/solvent-free/cocatalyst-free conditions. PEMP outstanding stability can be reused 5 times at least without an obvious loss activity. mechanism was elaborately investigated by situ Fourier transform infrared spectra tests, control experiments, density functional theory calculations, demonstrating that CO2 over occurs through preactivation epichlorohydrin. Moreover, it illustrated synergistic effect between carbonate anion quaternary ammonium cation on played crucial role promoting activation CO2.

Abstract The design and synthesis of catalysts loaded with active components has attracted considerable attention in current research owing to their exceptional catalytic performance. In this study, the focus was on utilization tin‐loaded ZA molecular sieves, possessing remarkable adsorption properties, alongside activity tin. These were successfully prepared employed for poly(lactic acid) (PLA) from lactic acid derived non‐food biomass. By modifying treatment properties sieves adjusted. resulting exhibited a high tin capacity ranging 2.29% 2.81% featured abundant mesoporous structures, providing surface area up 341.2 m 2 g −1 . Regarding preparation PLA, our findings demonstrated that ZA‐III‐Sn 2+ as catalyst yielded PLA higher weight‐average weight ( M w ) 2.57 × 10 4 mol yield 65.3% compared other catalysts. Moreover, most optimal effect achieved by adding three separate stages. amount catalyst, reaction temperature time found influence both PLA. A series of calcined Chitosan (CS) photothermal catalysts are prepared by heating the biopolymer at different temperatures. The conversion (light to heat) ability these CS materials is evaluated measuring temperature change with respect time and lamp power. material 300 °C (Cal-CS-300) shows excellent which explored for CO2 cycloaddition reaction epoxides produce cyclic carbonates under mild parameters (1 atm pressure, 25 °C). study reveals importance defects present in on both fixation efficiency. Under optimized conditions, Cal-CS-300 able convert a range into their respective (>97 % selectivity) retains its catalytic activity (~86 %) 5 cycles catalysis without losing chemical integrity. use ubiquitously available together light makes this approach sustainable preparing value added chemicals.

Significant efforts have been devoted to develop an efficient catalytic system without the use of cocatalysts for conversion CO2 cyclocarbonate. However, low adsorption on surfaces catalysts is generally attributed their specific surface area and thermodynamic stability. Herein, we report efficacy a composite heterogeneous catalyst prepared by coating In2O3 with aniline-based polymers subsequent coordination hydrogen-bond donating functional groups (HBD). This shows high performance epoxide ring-opening reactions (99%) excellent recycling (sixth run) under mild conditions need cocatalysts. In contrast, polymer significantly reduced. study presents feasible strategy building HBD sites into CO2-adsorptive polymer-coated realizing cycloaddition reaction in aerobic environment.
