Phenolic compounds, as highly toxic pollutants, can cause great harm to human beings and the environment even at very low concentrations. Therefore, simultaneous detection of multiple phenolic pollutants is critically valuable for environmental monitoring. Here, an electrochemical sensor based on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified by nanoporous gold (NPG) was successfully developed determination including phenol (Ph), hydroquinone (HQ), catechol (CT), o-nitrophenol (ONP), which realized not only sensitive individual each pollutant but also these four pollutants. For detection, limits Ph, HQ, CT, ONP were 0.85, 0.17, 0.19, 1.30 μM well sensitivities 0.24, 1.17, 1.08, 0.16 μA −1 cm −2 , respectively. Additionally, NPG/GCE exhibited good stability anti-interference capability. The recovery rates in seawater samples wastewater ranged from 94.64% 105.87%. In this study, we propose an eco-friendly method for synthesizing cerium tungstate nanoparticles using hydrothermal techniques. We used scanning, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction to analyze the morphology of synthesized nanoparticles. The results showed that were uniform highly crystalline, with a particle size about 50 nm. electrocatalytic properties then investigated cyclic voltammetry electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. further develop sensor based on carbon paste electrode can detect hydroquinone. By optimizing differential pulse voltammetric method, wide linearity range 0.4 45 µM low detection limit 0.06 obtained. developed also expressed excellent repeatability (RSD up 3.8%) reproducibility below 5%). Interferences had insignificant impact determination analytes, making it possible use monitoring hydroquinone concentrations in tap water.
