Abstract Polyoxometalate‐based frameworks, as a kind of material constructed by polyoxometalates (POMs), metal ions or clusters, organic ligands, are combined both the advantages oxygen‐rich POMs and porous metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) within one single system. This integration greatly expands their potential applications compared to individual MOFs. Particularly for photocatalysis, narrow light absorption range typical units in ultraviolet region hinders extensive uses visible‐light‐driven photocatalysts. However, incorporation photoactive into POMs‐based can be considered an effective approach overcome this limitation. In paper, we review selected examples recent progress based on POM‐based along with construction strategies various areas mainly including water splitting, CO 2 reduction, synthesis also selective coupling reactions.

An example of an inorganic–organic hybrid compound {[Ag4(SiW12O40)(HBTA)8][Ag4(SiW12O40)(HBTA)8(H2O)]}n·(1) modified by the Keggin-type [SiW12O40]4− polyoxoanion was synthesized hydrothermally, which determined single crystal X-ray diffraction. Two 1-dimensional (1D) chains are present in 1: chain a is connected Ag···Ag interactions and b π···π stacking. Finally, they were extended into 2D 3D supramolecular structures hydrogen bonding. The photodegradation methylene blue (MB) investigated under visible light irradiation, degradation rate reached 99.4% within 200 min. In addition, 1 catalyzes reduction sodium nitrite can be used as potential electrocatalytic material.

Glutamic acid (GA), a crucial neurotransmitter, plays significant role in brain function, muscle health, and various neurological disorders. Elevated GA levels have been associated with conditions such as stroke, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, Alzheimer's disease. Accurate detection of is paramount for both diagnostic research purposes. Herein, we develop photoinduced electrogenerated chemiluminescence (PECL) test strip fiber paper coated covalent triazine framework (CTF)/H3PMo12O40 polyoxometalate (PMo12) heterojunction. Under blue-light irradiation, photogenerated carriers were separated by an electric field, π-electron delocalization, polarization, leaving holes on the surface PMo12 to drive ECL reactions based luminol oxidation, enabling GA. This resulted PECL signal, fluorometry information, including RGB values, was captured using smartphone. The platform enabled sensitive neurotransmitter within linear range 0.05-1.7 mM, low limit (LOD) 15 nM. results validated safety feasibility this approach detect biological samples satisfactory selectivity against other molecules. combination smartphone reader presents exciting avenue development strips on-site visual real-time monitoring. integration offers high-throughput suitable applications point-of-care testing disease
