Conventional nonfunctional polyester-coated paper is suitable for packaging, but this coated nonrecyclable. Herein, we report coating materials recyclable and industrially compostable using functionalized polyester blends. First, carboxylic acid-functionalized polylactic acid (CPLA) poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (CPBAT) were synthesized. CPLA, either alone or as a blend of CPLA CPBAT, was emulsified then applied coating. The tested to evaluate its water oil repellency, gas moisture barrier, sealing, mechanical properties index. paper's repulpability recyclability fully validated by certified methods. compostability the CPBAT- CPLA-coated papers also confirmed. This newly PFAS- persistent microplastics-free, nature fits into circular economy approach.
