Creating flexible materials with multi-dimensional security holds great promise for anti-counterfeiting labels in food, currency, and pharmaceuticals, but it is proven extremely challenging. Herein, we propose a photoresponsive liquid crystal polymer (LCP) film by incorporating polymerizable photoswitch into commercial LCP ultraviolet (UV) light exposure. Reversible photochromism can be observed between light- dark-red under UV visible irradiation alternatively, accompanying variation of fluorescence intensity. In addition, series photonic microstructures are written on the taking advantage predefined patterned light. A quadri-dimensional label, featuring photochromism, fluorescence, embedded microstructures, optical diffraction constructed assistance film. This strategy represents beneficial step toward materials, which enhances secure level practical product engineering applications.

Chiral liquid crystal supramolecular assembly provides an ideal strategy for constructing excellent circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) materials. However, the chirality transfer in chiral crystals normally occurs at two levels from configurational to phase chirality. The more precise and of transmission are fascinating but remain challenging. present work reports first success three-level amplification configurationally point small molecules conformationally helical polymers finally cholesteric composed nonfluorescent (P46) nematic crystals. Noticeably, twisting power P46 is five-fold larger than its monomer. Full-color white CPL with maximum dissymmetry factor up 1.54 photoluminescence quantum yield 63.8% realized utilizing combined selective reflection mechanism. Also significantly, electrically stimuli-responsive switching device as well anti-counterfeiting security, information encryption, logic gate applications developed. This study deepens understanding across different hierarchical levels.

ABSTRACT Control of the dissymmetry circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) is intriguing and has great potential for applications in field optics. The traditional control strategy involves using opposite enantiomers to achieve reversal CPL signs. However, regulating by controlling only transition dipole moments without changing molecular or supramolecular chirality remains a challenge. Herein, we developed couple crystal materials based on axially chiral aggregation‐induced emission luminogens (AIEgens). These exhibit achiral solvent‐induced sign inversion with identical helical structures their crystalline states. ( R )‐BPAuCz T displays (+)‐CPL factor g lum ) value +9.81 × 10 −4 (560 nm), while C exhibits (−)‐CPL −1.02 −3 nm). Time‐dependent density functional theory calculations show that magnetic electric at S 1 → 0 unit cell are considerably influenced cocrystallized solvent molecules, revealing mechanism. nonbonding interactions between molecules (i.e., tetrahydrofuran CDCl 3 AIEgens play crucial role manipulation moment these materials. Circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) in solution offers several advantages. However, it remains challenging for organic molecules to achieve circularly with high dissymmetry factor (glum) solution. Herein, a general strategy is developed by placing chiral nematic liquid crystals (N*-LCs) behind the of achiral molecules.
