Abstract
Our
interest
in
the
design
of
heavy
pnictogen‐based
Lewis
acids
for
anion
trafficking
across
biological
membrane
mimics
has
led
us
to
investigate
trivalent
bismuthenium
cations
as
chloride
transporters.
Here,
we
describe
two
chlorodiarylbismuthines,
elaborated
on
a
peri
‐substituted
naphthalene
backbone
and
stabilized
by
an
adjacent
thio‐
or
seleno‐ether
functionality
that
engages
bismuth
center
Ch→Bi
interaction
(Ch=chalcogen).
These
new
derivatives
are
stable
aqueous
environment
readiliy
transport
anions
phospholipid‐based
vesicles
loaded
with
KCl.
In
addition
establishing
use
such
motifs
transport,
this
investigation
shows
acidity,
lipophilicity,
thus
properties
depend
nature
chalcogen.

Antimony
is
a
fifth-period
element
in
the
nitrogen
family,
silver-white
metalloid
with
weak
conductivity
and
thermal
conductivity.
It
stable
at
room
temperature
does
not
react
easily
oxygen
water
air.
Natural
minerals
are
found
form
of
sulfides.
Current
research
applications
mostly
concentrated
on
material
modification,
utilizing
properties
antimony
traditional
chemical
industries,
helping
alloys
improve
their
flame
retardancy,
stability,
increasing
semiconductor
performance,
etc.
For
example,
to
enhance
electronic
conductivity,
after
coating
or
embedding
its
derivatives
thin
layers
photonic
nanomaterials,
performance
original
photoelectrochemical
catalysis
can
be
effectively
increased,
thereby
expanding
efficiency
oxidation–reduction
reactions
accounting
for
degradation
organic
matter
wastewater.
However,
catalytic
reaction
between
compounds
beside
less
studied,
mechanism
studies
synthesis
relatively
unclear.
The
reported
related
mainly
Lewis
acid
catalysts
dual-metal
systems
combined
other
metals.
This
Review
will
focus
application
photocatalysis,
electrocatalysis,
syntheses
past
10
years.

Catecholatostiboranes
have
emerged
as
useful
Lewis
acids
in
several
applications.
To
better
understand
the
factors
that
control
properties
of
these
species,
we
examined
acidities
(o-C6Cl4O2)Sb(o-Tol)3
(2,
Tol
=
tolyl)
and
(o-C6Cl4O2)Sb(p-Tol)3
(3),
two
triarylcatecholatostiboranes
differ
by
nature
aryl
substituent.
Fluoride
anion
binding
studies
indicate
3
is
more
acidic
than
2,
a
factor
readily
assigned
to
steric
crowding
around
antimony
case
o-tolyl
derivative.
But,
while
binds
F–
trans
Sb–Caryl
bond
typical
catecholatostiboranes,
2
prefers
Sb–O
bond.
Computational
analyses
reveal
existence
σ
holes,
an
activation
strain
analysis
employed
elucidate
origin
stiboranes'
anion-binding
geometry
preferences.

Abstract
Stimuli‐responsive
materials
have
been
applied
for
sensor
devices
because
they
can
transform
and
amplify
various
target
stimuli
into
observable
signals.
Much
effort
has
devoted
to
exploring
effective
molecular
designs
obtaining
stimuli‐responsive
behaviors
by
taking
advantage
of
the
unique
optoelectronic
properties
π‐conjugated
molecules
involving
elements.
This
study
focuses
on
modulation
electronic
state
scaffolds
oxidation
number
change
hypervalent
antimony.
demonstrate
that
strength
intramolecular
interaction
between
antimony
framework
be
tuned
with
ligand
structure,
substituent
effect,
shifts
In
particular,
color
changes
represented
hypsochromic
bathochromic
wavelength
optical
bands
are
achieved
oxidative
reaction
in
solid
state.
Significantly,
direction
confidently
predicted
quantum
chemical
calculations.
The
findings,
based
main‐group
elements,
provide
logical
design
strategies
advanced
materials.
