Abstract
Copper
nanoclusters
with
stable
compositions
and
precise
structures
have
long
been
sought
after,
as
they
possess
properties
that
are
absent
in
gold
silver
counterparts.
However,
the
creation
of
copper
novel
compositions,
structures,
functionalities
remains
largely
unexplored
literature.
In
this
study,
we
demonstrate
selenide
doping
is
an
effective
method
for
fabricating
nanostructures
through
controlled
synthesis
structure
determination
a
copper–selenide
nanocluster.
The
nanocluster
[Cu
32
Se
7
(BnSe)
18
(PPh
3
)
6
]
+
(denoted
Cu
,
Bn
benzyl)
has
prepared
by
reducing
salts
presence
organic
diselenides.
atomic
cluster,
accurately
determined
single‐crystal
X‐ray
diffraction,
reveals
core–shell
arrangement
20
@Cu
12
where
2−
anions
well
dispersed
framework.
Notably,
cluster
represents
rare
example
semiconductor
nanoclusters.
Experimental
theoretical
analysis
shows
strong
interactions
between
ligands
metal
atoms,
resulting
high
stability
cluster.
Furthermore,
exhibits
excellent
catalytic
performance
hydroboration
reaction
alkynes,
producing
range
vinylboron
compounds
adjustable
functions.
Importantly,
undergoes
no
structural
or
nuclearity
changes
during
reaction,
confirmed
extended
absorption
fine
photoelectron
spectroscopy
studies.
This
study
not
only
presents
molecular
model
highlighting
effectiveness
dopants
new
but
also
paves
way
utilizing
diverse
exciting
areas
beyond
catalysis.

Abstract
Despite
recent
advances
in
cluster‐based
catalysis
for
organic
synthesis,
the
substrate
scope
of
reactions
catalyzed
by
metal
nanoclusters
is
typically
not
superior
to
previously
established
catalytic
systems.
Herein,
we
develop
new
atomically
precise
copper
protosilylation,
with
expanding
alkenes
and
simple
enynes
that
were
suitable
prior
synthetic
methodologies
traditional
complexes.
The
involvement
a
second
center
kernel
during
migratory
insertion
step
thought
be
responsible
expanded
scope.
In
addition,
reaction
highly
compatible
water
can
carried
out
open
air
rather
than
under
inert
gas
protection.
Mechanistic
studies
suggest
cluster‐catalyzed
protosilylation
proceeds
absence
silyl
radicals.
current
findings
demonstrate
potential
using
practical
sustainable
chemical
synthesis.
