Background:
Recent
clinical
trials
suggest
promising
antidepressant
effects
of
psilocybin,
despite
methodological
challenges.
While
various
studies
have
investigated
distinct
mechanisms
and
proposed
theoretical
opinions,
a
comprehensive
understanding
psilocybin’s
neurobiological
psychological
is
lacking.
Aims:
Systematically
review
potential
psilocybin.
Methods:
Search
terms
were
generated
based
on
existing
evidence
related
to
mechanisms.
Following
Preferred
Reporting
Items
for
Systematic
Reviews
Meta-Analysis
guidelines,
15
systematically
reviewed,
exploring
therapeutic
change
principles
such
as
brain
dynamics,
emotion
regulation,
cognition,
self-referential
processing,
connectedness,
interpersonal
functioning.
Results:
Within
supportive
setting,
psilocybin
promoted
openness,
cognitive
neural
flexibility,
greater
ability
acceptance
emotional
experiences.
A
renewed
sense
connectedness
the
self,
others,
world
emerged
key
experience.
Imaging
consistently
found
altered
characterized
by
reduced
global
within
default
mode
network
connectivity,
alongside
increased
between-network
connectivity.
Conclusions:
Together,
these
changes
may
create
fertile
yet
vulnerable

Maladaptive Personality Trait Change During the First Eight Months of the COVID-19 Pandemic in the German General Population

The
COVID-19
pandemic,
marked
by
the
threat
of
infection,
severe
illness,
and
stringent
public
health
measures,
has
significantly
transformed
lives
individuals.
This
challenging
scenario
provides
a
valuable
context
for
examining
potential
impact
such
disruption
on
maladaptive
personality
traits—dispositions
that
can
lead
to
distress,
impaired
functioning,
difficulty
adapting
environment.
Using
data
from
GESIS
panel
(N
=
4,742),
which
is
broadly
representative
German
adult
population,
this
study
examined
traits
based
Alternative
Model
Personality
Disorders
in
DSM-5.
Maladaptive
were
assessed
twice:
four
months
before
(October/November
2019)
eight
after
outbreak
pandemic
Germany,
during
its
ongoing
phase
2020).
Longitudinal
measurement
invariance
was
established
all
trait
domains
except
detachment.
Results
show
increases
traits,
particularly
antagonism

disinhibition

ABSTRACT
Introduction
To

limitations

taxonomies,
