Background: Recent clinical trials suggest promising antidepressant effects of psilocybin, despite methodological challenges. While various studies have investigated distinct mechanisms and proposed theoretical opinions, a comprehensive understanding psilocybin’s neurobiological psychological is lacking. Aims: Systematically review potential psilocybin. Methods: Search terms were generated based on existing evidence related to mechanisms. Following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analysis guidelines, 15 systematically reviewed, exploring therapeutic change principles such as brain dynamics, emotion regulation, cognition, self-referential processing, connectedness, interpersonal functioning. Results: Within supportive setting, psilocybin promoted openness, cognitive neural flexibility, greater ability acceptance emotional experiences. A renewed sense connectedness the self, others, world emerged key experience. Imaging consistently found altered characterized by reduced global within default mode network connectivity, alongside increased between-network connectivity. Conclusions: Together, these changes may create fertile yet vulnerable window change, emphasizing importance set, guidance. The results that context, induce leveraging interplay between common psychotherapeutic factors. ABSTRACT Introduction To account for the limitations of categorical taxonomies, a general psychopathology factor (p‐factor) has been proposed as transdiagnostic dimension that captures shared variance across various forms psychopathology. However, further research is required to clarify specific characteristics define p‐factor, particularly in adolescence ‐ period marked by heightened vulnerability psychological disorders and significant developmental changes. Methods This study utilized sample 1366 cisgender adolescents (56% assigned female at birth, Mage = 16.25, SD 1.44) examine structure p‐factor using Bifactor Exploratory Structural Equation Modeling. The also explored association between emerging personality pathology, focusing on self interpersonal dimensions. Results was characterized items reflecting negative affectivity, emotional dysregulation, behavioral problems. Greater difficulties self‐related (e.g., sense self, self‐acceptance, goals) dimensions family relationships, aggression, sexuality) were associated with higher levels A small but found quality peer relationships suggesting potential protective role friendships.
