Endometrial polyps and uterine leiomyomas are common gynecological conditions that significantly affect women's health. Recent studies have begun to explore potential biomarkers could assist in the early diagnosis understanding of pathophysiology these conditions. One such biomarker is Serum Sestrin 2 (SESN2), a protein involved cellular stress response. This review aims synthesize research findings on relationship between serum SESN2 levels presence endometrial leiomyomas. It examines as diagnostic tool its role underlying mechanisms Studies suggest elevated patients with compared controls, indicating involvement their pathophysiology. Furthermore, discusses implications for clinical practice, particularly terms detection targeted therapies. Future directions need large-scale validate marker also addressed. highlights importance like enhancing our management disorders.

Sestrins are metabolic regulators that respond to stress by reducing the levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and inhibiting activity target rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). Previous research has demonstrated Sestrin2 mitigates ischemia-reperfusion (IR) injury in heart, liver, kidneys. However, its specific role IIR remains unclear. To elucidate intestinal injury, we conducted an experimental study using a C57BL/6J mouse model IIR. We noticed increase expression indicators associated with ferroptosis. Our revealed manipulating Caco-2 cells through overexpression or knockdown resulted corresponding decrease increase, respectively, ferroptosis levels. Furthermore, our investigation alleviated caused activation Keap1/Nrf2 signaling pathway. This finding highlights potential as therapeutic for alleviating injury. These findings indicated modulation could be promising strategy managing prolonged

As a highly conserved cellular process, autophagy has been the focus of extensive research due to its critical role in maintaining homeostasis and implications cardiovascular pathogenesis. The decline muscular function, along with neuronal system, increased sensitivity stress have recognized multiple animal models. Autophagic defects architecture dysfunction linked both physiological pathological conditions heart mammals Drosophila . In this review, we systematically analyze autophagy-associated pathways hearts fruit flies aim provide comprehensive understanding for developing potential treatments patients effective strategies agricultural applications. This analysis elucidates molecular mechanisms function under , offering significant insights into development diseases. loss key proteins, including transmembrane protein Atg9 partners Atg2 or Atg18, DmSestrin, leads cardiac hypertrophy structural abnormalities resembling age-dependent deterioration function. Members autophagy-related (Atg) gene family, nuclear skeletal lamins, mechanistic mammalian target rapamycin (mTOR) signaling are critically influential activation shown suppress laminopathy. mTORC1/C2 complexes, axis Atg2-AMPK/Sirt1/PGC-1α pathway, essential flies, governing development, growth, maturation, maintenance homeostasis. beneficial effects several interventions that enhance exercise cold stress, can influence autophagy-dependent TOR activity serine/threonine kinase Exercise increase when it is deficient inhibit excessive, highlighting dual health. review evaluates functional significance heart, particularly context relation mTORC-associated pathways. To investigate the significance and relationship of glucose lipid metabolism, placental resistin, human carrier protein (LCN-2) expression in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) complicated by severe preeclampsia (SPE). A total 89 patients GDM SPE (G+S group) alone (GDM were included. Blood samples collected to measure metabolism indicators [fasting blood (FBG), fasting insulin (FINS), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), HDL-C, LDL-C], immunohistochemistry was used assess resistin LCN-2 levels. Delivery conditions adverse maternal neonatal outcomes compared. Pearson correlation analysis conducted explore between LCN-2, indicators. FBG, FINS, HbA1c, TC, TG levels higher, HDL-C lower G+S group compared (P<0.05). The positive rates tissue also higher had weeks, birth weight, postpartum hemorrhage than showed (postpartum hemorrhage, intrauterine infection) (preterm birth, fetal distress) that positively correlated TG, negatively Pregnant have risks disorders, expression, patients. Resistin may influence affecting pregnancy outcomes.
