Abstract.
Sea
level
rise
is
associated
with
increased
coastal
erosion
and
inundation.
However,
the
effects
of
sea
change
on
shoreline
can
be
enhanced
or
counteracted
by
vertical
land
motion
morphological
processes.
Therefore,
knowledge
about
individual
contributions
change,
morphodynamics
changes
necessary
to
make
informed
choices
for
climate
adaptation,
such
as
applying
defence
measures.
Here,
we
assess
potential
remote-sensing
techniques
detect
a
geometrical
relationship
between
retreat
case
study
at
Terschelling
barrier
island
northern
Dutch
coast.

Abstract
Beaches
are
highly
variable
environments
and
respond
to
changes
in
wave
forcing,

sets

the

lives

coastal
areas

less

sea
level

known
as
low-elevation
zone
–
LECZ).
These
major
importance

local
economy
and
transport

datasets
have
been
published,
describing
