Invisibility as a superior self-protection tactic has long captivated the popular interest in both academia and industry. However, state-of-the-art invisibility cloaks typically need to completely wrap or shield hidden object, leading object that cannot interact with environment outside. This study develops precise efficient de-homogenization optimized-architecture produce high-performance, simple-parameter, fabricable remote cloak without constraints on geometry. As proof of concept, we demonstrate an open composed by four separate parts metamaterial can remotely hide arbitrarily shaped located at certain distance for mutually orthogonal directions incident waves. Additionally, extend this concept illusive device capability transforming any arbitrary into another one. Our work provides available strategies devices closer widespread range situ practical-oriented applications.

Metamaterials are a type of artificial material with microstructural features that characterized by physical properties not found in nature. originated the field electromagnetics and have now blossomed fields such as acoustics, mechanics optics.
