The digital divide between urban and rural schools challenges efforts to promote technology integration in education, contributes growing educational inequity many contexts. Using the most current version of Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-analysis (PRISMA 2020), we identified extracted 36 articles conference papers on use from Scopus Web Science databases. We used Critical Interpretive Synthesis identify solutions involved integrating schools. analysis revealed 29 challenges, which were categorized using framework ecological perspective into macro level, meso micro level challenges. also discussed these studies. By focusing proposed at different contextual levels, this review is intended what constitutes good practices when Future research should focus factors facilitate how impacts students' learning experiences achievement

This work attempts to synthetize existing research about the impact of Covid-19 school closure on student achievement. It extends previous systematic reviews and meta-analyses by (a) using a more balanced sample in terms country composition, (b) considering new moderators (type data design), (c) including studies tertiary education students addition primary secondary students. Our meta-analysis findings show that pandemic had, average, detrimental effect learning. The magnitude this learning deficit (about 0.19 standard deviations achievement) appears be roughly comparable suffered who have experienced significant disruption their schooling due major natural disaster (e.g., Hurricane Katrina). Students are also found lost ground math/science than other subjects. Additionally, one year or after first lockdown, seem been unable catch up unfinished from pandemic. result suggests efforts should made ensure recover missed order avoid negative long-term consequences for them society.

The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in significant disruption schooling worldwide. This paper uses global test score data to estimate learning losses. It models the effect of school closures on achievement by predicting deviation most recent results from a linear trend using all rounds Programme for International Student Assessment. Scores declined an average 14 percent standard deviation, roughly equal seven months learning. Losses were greater students schools that faced relatively longer closures, boys, immigrants, and disadvantaged students. Educational losses may translate into national income over time.

In-person interaction offers invaluable benefits to people. To guarantee safe in-person activities during a COVID-19 outbreak, effective identification of infectious individuals is essential. In this study, we aim analyze the impact screening with antigen tests in schools and workplaces on identifying infections. We assess effectiveness various test strategies through quantitative simulations. The primary outcome our analyses proportion infected identified. transmission process at population level modeled using deterministic compartmental model. During the COVID-19-related school closures teachers and students were challenged to suddenly switch digital teaching at a distance. In particular, challenge was organize high-quality in which stay on task. Familiarity with technology may have helped master situation. However, only few studies so far examined quality of distance (e.g., cognitive activation) during its relation students' learning effort investment). Moreover, systematic research concerning role familiarity technology-enhanced acquired face-to-face is yet lacking. our study, we used data from 729 ninth graders investigate how student-observed activities when using related two subjects (mathematics, German). addition, whether student-perceived activation mediated this relation. Finally, sample provides unique opportunity examine familiarity, as some classes had been randomly equipped tablet computers one year before thus gain classroom. Results structural equation models showed that associated both subjects. Student-perceived association. gained COVID-19 pandemic appeared be less important for teaching. Thus, infrastructural measures, such equipping schools devices can familiarize themselves technology, do not seem decisive (distance) teaching-at least case short-term change teaching, necessary pandemic.

The coronavirus pandemic emerged in early 2020 and turned out to be deadly, killing a vast number of people all around the world. Fortunately, vaccines have been discovered, they seem effectual controlling severe prognosis induced by virus. reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test is current golden standard for diagnosing different infectious diseases, including COVID-19; however, it not always accurate. Therefore, extremely crucial find an alternative diagnosis method which can support results RT-PCR test. Hence, decision system has proposed this study that uses machine learning deep techniques predict COVID-19 patient using clinical, demographic blood markers. data used research were collected from two Manipal hospitals India custom-made, stacked, multi-level ensemble classifier diagnosis. Deep such as neural networks (DNN) one-dimensional convolutional (1D-CNN) also utilized. Further, explainable artificial (XAI) Shapley additive values (SHAP), ELI5, local interpretable model explainer (LIME), QLattice make models more precise understandable. Among algorithms, stacked obtained excellent accuracy 96%. precision, recall, f1-score AUC 94%, 95%, 94% 98% respectively. initial screening patients help ease existing burden on medical infrastructure.
