Abstract Background Cancer-therapy related cardiac dysfunction (CTRCD) remains a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in cancer survivors. In this study, we aimed to identify differential plasma proteins metabolites associated with left ventricular (LVD) patients. Methods We analyzed data from 50 patients referred the Cleveland Clinic Cardio-Oncology Center for echocardiograph assessment, integrating electronic health records, proteomic, metabolomic profiles. LVD was defined as an ejection fraction ≤ 55% based on echocardiographic evaluation. Classification-based machine learning models were used predict using input features. Results identified 13 ( P < 0.05) 14 LVD. Key included markers inflammation (ST2, TNFRSF14, OPN, AXL) chemotaxis (RARRES2, MMP-2, MEPE, OPN). Notably, sex-specific associations observed, such uridine = 0.003) males. Furthermore, features significantly 1-Methyl-4-imidazoleacetic acid 0.015), COL1A1 0.009), MMP-2 0.016), pointing metabolic shifts heightened Conclusion Our findings suggest that circulating may non-invasively detect clinical molecular differences LVD, providing insights into underlying disease pathways potential therapeutic targets.

Abstract Hypoxia-inducible factors (HIFs) are essential transcription that orchestrate cellular responses to oxygen deprivation. HIF-1α, as an unstable subunit of HIF-1, is usually hydroxylated by prolyl hydroxylase domain enzymes under normoxic conditions, leading ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation, thereby keeping low levels. Instead hypoxia, sometimes even in normoxia, HIF-1α translocates into the nucleus, dimerizes with HIF-1β generate then activates genes involved adaptive such angiogenesis, metabolic reprogramming, survival, which presents new challenges insights its role processes. Thus, review delves mechanisms HIF-1 maintains stability normoxia including but not limited giving transcriptional, translational, well posttranslational regulation underscore pivotal adaptation malignancy. Moreover, extensively cancer cardiovascular diseases potentially serves a bridge between them. An overview HIF-1-related drugs approved or clinical trials summarized, highlighting their potential capacity for targeting toxicity related treatment. The provides comprehensive insight HIF-1’s regulatory mechanism paves way future research therapeutic development.

Aging is a multifaceted process influenced by hereditary factors, lifestyle, and environmental elements. As time progresses, the human body experiences degenerative changes in major functions. The external internal signs of aging manifest various ways, including skin dryness, wrinkles, musculoskeletal disorders, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, neurodegenerative cancer. Additionally, cancer, like aging, complex disease that arises from accumulation genetic epigenetic alterations. Circadian clock dysregulation has recently been identified as an important risk factor for cancer development. Natural compounds herbal medicines have gained significant attention their potential preventing age-related diseases inhibiting progression. These demonstrate antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-proliferative, pro-apoptotic, anti-metastatic, anti-angiogenic effects well circadian regulation. This review explores cancers, specific natural targeting key features these conditions.

Rapid and accurate detection plays a critical role in improving the survival prognosis of patients with cardiovascular disease, but traditional methods are far from ideal for those suspected conditions. Metabolite analysis based on nanomatrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (NMALDI-MS) is considered to be promising technique disease diagnosis. However, performance core nanomatrixes has limited its clinical application. In this study, we constructed 3D flower-shaped cages controllable structured metal-organic frameworks iron oxide nanoparticles low thermal conductivity significant photothermal effects. The elongation incident light path through multilayer reflection significantly enhances effective absorption area nanomatrixes. Concurrently, alternating layered structure confines energy, reducing losses. Moreover, increases affinity sites, expanding coverage. This approach effectively ionization desorption efficiency during LDI process. We applied technology analyze serum metabolomes myocardial infarction, heart failure, failure combined achieving cost-effective, high-throughput, highly accurate, user-friendly diseases. Subsequently, deep detected fingerprints via artificial intelligence models screens potential metabolic biomarkers, providing new paradigm diagnosis

The complex relationship between cardiovascular disease (CVD) and cancer has raised significant research interest, supported by growing evidence that these leading causes of morbidity mortality share several pathogenetic aspects. “common soil“ hypothesis postulates CVD emerge from the same piece earth as distinct trees, but with intermingled roots, represented modifiable risk factors underlying molecular mechanisms. integration prevention through lifestyle metabolic health improvements represents a necessity, for modern public health. This dual-benefit approach potential to reshape how we understand, approach, ultimately reduce burden two world's most impactful group diseases.

Summary Introduction Cancer research has revolutionised the treatment, quality of life and expectancy people living with cancer. Systemic anti‐cancer treatments have expanded to involve not only cytotoxic drugs, but targeted drugs immunotherapy. Although highly effective in many patients, these can cause serious sometimes life‐threatening adverse reactions. As part their patients cancer will be offered both systemic therapy surgery, undergo recurrent episodes aims cure, palliation or prolongation expectancy. It is important for anaesthetists understand effects on patients. Methods An electronic literature search using was conducted May 2024 peer‐reviewed articles English. initial terms ‘anaesthesia’ ‘chemotherapy’ revealed that existing review tailored towards neoadjuvant setting prompted this include complications therapies, emergency care intra‐operative administration reflect evolving field. A narrative approach taken discuss common regimens complications. Results The encompasses a wide range sub‐topics including pharmacology; physiology; peri‐operative medicine; specialist surgery; events; safety. Data from multicentre trials form basis current treatment practice were prioritised during selection process. Smaller studies, case series reports included illustrate rarer clinically significant specific therapies. Conclusions comprehensive understanding immunotherapies. There are potential toxicities associated treatments, particularly context surgery within operating theatre environment.
