Preliminary study on the correlation between thyroid magnetic resonance parameters and radiation dose after radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma

Hypothyroidism
is
a
common
sequela
after
radiotherapy
for
nasopharyngeal
carcinoma
(NPC).
Magnetic
resonance
imaging
(MRI)
has
gained
prominence
in
thyroid
imaging,
leveraging
its
non-ionizing
radiation,
high
spatial
resolution,
multiparameter
and
multidirectional
imaging.

previous
studies
have
investigated

evaluation

radiation-induced
injury
by

widespread
application

ionizing
radiation
(IR)
in
medicine,

beneficial,
also
poses
potential
risks
that
necessitate
effective
countermeasures.

2-(3-aminopropylamino)
ethanethiol
(WR-1065)
and
curcumin
are
recognized
as
radioprotective
agents;
however,
their
clinical
utility
is
hindered
by
notable
shortcomings

be
addressed
through
reactive
oxygen
species
(ROS)-responsive
amphiphilic
nanomaterials.

newly
synthesized
poly
(ethylene
glycol)
(PEG)-polycaprolactone
(PCL)
polymer

Radiotherapy

Objectives:
This
study

stroke
survivors
and
the
characteristics
of
care
management
after
discharge
from
hospital
to
home.
