Outpatient healthcare facilities represent potential sources of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). The purpose this study was to survey high-contact surfaces in an outpatient physical therapy clinic, characterize the microbiome those surfaces, and investigate effects a microbiome-specific cleaning hygiene plan. This study examines public preferences for natural microbiomes and support genetically engineered (GE) in the built environment, focusing on demographic, sociographic, attitudinal factors that influence these preferences. Using data from a nationally representative survey of 1,000 U.S. adults, we employed hierarchical regression analyses to assess relative contribution variables.
