We developed an intrinsic hydrophilic single-atom iron nanobowl (Fe-SANB) for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-guided tumor microenvironment-triggered cancer therapy. Benefiting from the sufficient exposure of Fe single atoms and hydrophilicity bowl-shaped structure, Fe-SANBs exhibited a superior performance T1-weighted MRI with r1 value 11.48 mM–1 s–1, which is 3-fold higher than that commercial Gd-DTPA (r1 = 3.72 s–1). After further coembedding Gd in nanobowls, can be greatly improved to 19.54 s–1. In microenvironment (TME), trigger pH-induced Fenton-like activity generate highly toxic hydroxyl radicals high-efficiency chemodynamic therapy (CDT). Both CDT efficiency these nanobowls optimized by tuning ratio Fe(II)/Fe(III) via controlling calcination temperature. Furthermore, generation •OH at site accelerated photothermal effect Fe-SANBs, thus promoting efficacy. vitro vivo results confirmed our nanoplatform high contrast, robust biocompatibility, satisfactory treatment, providing potential MRI-guided TME-triggered precise

Abstract Purpose of Review Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a complex heterogeneous inflammatory disease that affects about one-third patients with psoriasis. PsA leads to significant physical impairment and reduced quality life. Therefore, early diagnosis intervention are critical for improving long-term outcomes. The purpose this review highlight the advantages unconventional imaging methods in management discuss recent advancements technology. Recent Findings Conventional methods, such as radiography, musculoskeletal ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, have been instrumental detecting structural joint damage inflammation. However, these modalities several limitations, resulting their inability detect changes. technology led development novel capable characterizing not only but also molecular aspects activity. These cutting-edge approaches lately applied both psoriasis patients, offering new insights into progression, transition from PsA, treatment responses. Summary By providing more detailed individualized assessments, may bring us closer realizing potential personalized medicine PsA.

It is known that metabolic shifts and tissue remodelling precede the development of visible inflammation structural organ damage in inflammatory rheumatic diseases such as arthritides. As such, visualising measuring activity could be useful to identify biomarkers disease already a very early phase. Recent advances imaging have led so-called ‘metabolic imaging’ tools can detect these changes metabolism an increasingly accurate manner non-invasively. Nuclear techniques 18 F-D-glucose fibroblast activation protein inhibitor-labelled positron emission tomography are used yielded impressing results visualisation (including whole-body staging) both established arthritis. Furthermore, optical imaging-based bedside multispectral optoacoustic fluorescence advancing our understanding arthritis by identifying intra-articular correlate with onset high precision without need ionising radiation. Metabolic holds great potential for improving management patients contributing interception diagnostic accuracy, thereby paving way more personalised approach therapy strategies including preventive strategies. In this narrative review, we discuss state-of-the-art methods assessment inflammation, advocate extensive research endeavours elucidate their full field application rheumatology.

The Sharp-van der Heijde score (SvH) is crucial for assessing joint damage in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) through radiographic images. However, manual scoring time-consuming and subject to variability. This study proposes a multistage deep learning model predict the Overall Sharp Score (OSS) from hand X-ray framework involves four stages: image preprocessing, segmentation with UNet, identification via YOLOv7, OSS prediction utilizing custom Vision Transformer (ViT). Evaluation metrics included Intersection over Union (IoU), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Root Squared (RMSE), Huber loss, Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC). was trained using stratified group 3-fold cross-validation on dataset of 679 patients tested externally 291 subjects. achieved 99% accuracy. ViT best scores < 50. It loss 4.9, an RMSE 9.73, MAE 5.35, demonstrating strong correlation expert (ICC = 0.702, P 0.001). first apply RA. presents efficient automated alternative overall assessment. approach may reduce reliance scoring.
